Sample Q&A
Q: What makes container security different from traditional application security?
A: Container security introduces unique challenges like immutable infrastructure, shared kernels, and complex orchestration layers. The book addresses these specific concerns with practical solutions.
Q: Why are SBOMs becoming essential for container security?
A: SBOMs provide complete visibility into software components, enabling faster vulnerability response and compliance. They're becoming mandatory in many industries and government contracts.
Q: What's the biggest security mistake you see teams making with containers?
A: Running containers as root and using bloated base images. These practices exponentially increase attack surface and potential damage from security breaches.
