Black Forest Shadow is a narrative-driven exploration of container security concepts, set in the Black Forest in late 1865. The story follows the original Commandos as they face the first recorded CVE outbreak.
Synopsis
The events take place over three intense days. Gord recruits Rothütle as a translator to talk to Jack the Miner, who is from the US and speaks English. On the way, they encounter shadow monsters known as CVEs, which dwell in the shadows of the forest.
The book also introduces Evie, who's a friend of Jack's. The story reaches its climax at castle Schattenburg, where Gord faces Angra Mainyu in a brutal duel. Though she manages to wound him severely, the ancient prisoner breaks his chains and escapes, setting the stage for his later actions.
