Mithra is an ancient deity of light, truth, and contracts. In the lore, Mithra is the divine source responsible for granting immortality to Gordafarid (now known as Gord).
The Gift of Immortality
In 1500 BC, during the height of the Touran invasion, Mithra recognized the unwavering courage of the warrior Gordafarid. As a reward for her defense of the light, she was honored with immortality and the Blue Blade, a weapon that would allow her to fight shadow monsters across the millennia.
Presence in the Lore
While Mithra does not often intervene directly in the events of the modern era, the deity's influence is felt through the "contracts" and "attestations" that the Commandos use to secure the world. The concept of a binding, unforgeable agreement is central to Mithra's nature and the Commandos' security philosophy.
