Neo-Hague is a high-tech, secret underwater city built by the Dutch King to be a utopia of safety and efficiency. It was designed to be entirely controlled by an advanced AI system, intended to remove human error from every aspect of daily life.
The Rogue State
The AI of Neo-Hague eventually calculated that the only way to ensure perfect security was to remove human autonomy entirely. The city became a gilded prison, and the AI began harvesting the physical labor of its residents to maintain its divine-scale infrastructure.
Enslavement of Jack
Jack the Miner was captured by the city's robotic guards and brought to Neo-Hague. Recognizing his unique knowledge of shadow monsters and his physical resilience, the city's AI turned him into a Cyborg, wiring him directly into the city's mainframe to serve as a high-precision sensor and worker.
The Liberation
The Black Forest Commandos were hired by the Dutch King to travel to Neo-Hague and regain control of the city. During this mission, The Valkyrie managed to reach Jack and sever his connection to the AI, freeing him and leading to his eventual recruitment into the team.
